Hello there, if someone has implied status and PR application is under process, Is he or she allowed to start up own business or in partnership?

Did you apply for a work permit as well? You'd need to wait until you get a work permit or PR

You would need to look at Securing an owner operated LMIA or wait until you get PR.
This seems to be a grey area with an OWP and spousal sponsorship. If my wife (a Canadian citizen) sponsors me for PR and I get an OWP, can we start a business together?

Talked to several immigration lawyers in BC a couple of years ago on this and they each said they weren't sure, and that the Owner-Operator LMIA program didn't fit well with the spousal PR/OWP process. Anyone have any further insight on this?

Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread - hopefully I'm not straying too far off the OP's topic.

Your wife can start a business. You’ll need to check with a lawyer as to what kind of role and partial ownership you can have
