Implied status

Hey,
I applied for family class sponsorship in January this year. I have done my medical and it shows all good online. My passport was expiring so I got it renewed and send the updated one a week ago.
My company might send me to Italy for my training in a month but my current work Visa expires in August 12th. I cant travel, I can stay on implied status as long as i stay in canada. Is there any way I can travel out and come back? It's a big opportunity for me and I dont wanna loose it. Any suggestions or help?

Can you clarify why you haven't been issued the OWP yet if you applied in January? The OWP application is what gives you implied status. Did you not apply for it alongside your PR app? Or did your OWP expire with your passport?

Yes my OWP expired with my passport but I did apply for a new one when I applied for my PR. I enquired about it and they said I cant go out until a decision has been made.

Technically yes you can leave the country (temporarily, like for a 1-2 week vacation). That would not affect the OWP application itself. However, you are correct that you would lose your implied status. You would not be able to keep working when you got back. So there really is no way for you to be able to leave for the training if you want to be able to work when you return.
