Hello everyone!

A temporary resident with implied status who has left Canada may:

• be allowed to re-enter Canada as a temporary resident, pending a decision on the renewal of
their application to study or work in Canada, provided they are TRV exempt as per R190 or on
a multiple-entry visa. They may not resume work or study in Canada until their application for
renewal has been granted. For those not able to resume work, they must satisfy the BSO that
they have sufficient means of support. (Note that this applies to foreign nationals who are
TRV exempt as per R190(3)(f) and to those on multiple-entry visas.)
I know, there have been a few threads around this topic, but from my understanding may [as in "is possibly"] means there is a chance to resume work, right?
Yes, I could just not take my chances, but I really need to go back to see my folks in Germany (TRV exempt). Despite the fact that I may lose my ability to work until I receive my work permit extension, the following:
  • Letter of Approval (Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program)
  • Request from Manitoba on my behalf for a 1 year visa extension
  • Receipt of payment fee for work permit extension
  • Canada Post Customer Receipt adressed to CPC Vegreville
  • Bank Statement showing $6,500 in my account
  • Long-term offer of employment from my current employer
should at least allow me to re-enter the country even if they decide that I may not be able to continue working?

Thank you all in advance!

CBSA will probably allow you entry, but you can't work until you receive the new work permit.

Hello,

I have a quick question regarding "not working until new permit is received"...

I am on implied/maintained status and I need to leave Canada because of an urgency. I understand that I CAN'T WORK in the meantime until new permit is received. I need to know what does "can't work" mean. Can I utilize my remaining paid vacations days to satisfy the criteria "can't work"? Is that valid?

Thank you!
