Hello,
Can someone please advise me about rules pertaining to immigration.
My immigration application was submitted under the Federal Skilled Workers class in Sept 2007. I am applying from within Canada and have been working here for 2 years now first under a post-graduation work permit, and now under a regular work permit. I heard back from the office in Buffalo in March 2008 where they wanted an updated letter from my employer and a current pay stub and my Notice of Assessment for 2007. At this time they also sent my medical forms to fill out.
I would like to leave Canada for 6-12 months (not completely decided on the duration), and I need some advice on the impact this will have on my application. If I leave at this point, will my application be de-prioritised and the application timing slowed down or halted altogether because I no longer am living in Canada? So far my application has been processed quite fast and I'd obviously prefer not to do anything that will jeopardise my file.
Thank you for your help. It is much appreciated.
