Hey guys,

Does anyone have an opinion on the impact of change in country of residence (different continent) on application processing time. I would be heading to my country of origin in less than a month from today and am a little concerned that this may impact the processing time negatively as there may be need to change VO.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Unlikely to affect application processing under EE because everything is online except the last step of PPR. You will have to update your address in your profile - use the CSE route to do this if you have submitted your application post ITA.

Thanks for the speedy response. So, the country/continent of residence of applicant does not influence where (i.e cic vo) the application is processed?

Though there is no official acknowledgement of this from CIC, it does appear that most (if not all) applications are centrally processed at Ottawa/NS and not the LVOs.

Thanks once again. You are such a gem. In all honesty, I can never do what you are doing if I found myself in your shoe.
