Hello all!

Asking for the advice, please. My family includes my wife and child of 1 month. EE profile is submitted as following: me - the principal applicant, my wife and child - non accompanying.
I've recently got ITA and started to arrange my docs. But suddenly heard an idea, that trying to immigrate without my wife would be a mispresentation (by achieving higher CRS than with my wife accompanying), and in 1-2 years trying to apply through Family sponsorship would result in a failure.

Is there anybody who is having or has overcome such issue?
Thx

Spouse and child as non accompanying should have a valid reason like wife studying etc.Otherwise sponsoring the familly later on is a long process.
If you declare as married then score has to be calculated as married. You shall need to show funds and medical for all family members whether accompanying or not

What about my child has just been born and my wife is on the maternity leave for 3 years. Could it be the reason?

That means she wants to continue the present job and has no intention to settle in Canada

That's exactly the situation. So nothing terrible?
I shall show POF for the whole family and medical check also to be made by everybody.
My explanation for the officer is that I want to immigrate, but my family for the next 2 years minimum will carry on their living in the country, while my wife is on her maternity leave (for the moment this is 100% truth).

Or this is originally bad idea to try and I should consider revising my path?

I talked to an immigration lawyer who said he advises all his clients to come first and then call your spouse. It means u can come by yourself and later call your wife and son

Except it takes years longer. I'd rather have my spouse by my side from the start.

Thx for your concern.
So, I conclude, that this is a standard situation. I just need to write out decent explanation.

Doubtless! But in my situation regarless of the decision I would go by myself, cuz my child is an enfant.

If you want to save time later, include your spouse and child in the application. You can all land then your spouse and child can leave while the PR cards can be posted to you. They have time after that to come back and live with you. At least you won't have the uncertainty and the have the long wait for them to get the PR later on.

How many CRS with them included?

Correction - 444.

you have 444 with them? If yes, I say apply together it will go under 450..

but now wait as long as you can to see the draw trend, I think it should be clear in a draw or two whether it will surely drop under 450 (I personally think it will).. do not drop ITA yet as long as you can - you have 90 days.. so you can easily then deny ITA and make a new profile with your family when you are sure you will get ITA with them included.

In any case I am going to go by myself, without family. And while my wife is on her maternity leave (3 years) I won't apply through family sponsorship
