immigration under new rules with previous application in process......????

Hi.. i am from from Islamabad. i did apply under federal skilled workers class in jan 2008.

i am working as Assistant Manager(Computer) in a govt sector organization. so i fall in the 38 occupation list. my questions are as follows.


1. can i put a 2nd application under new rules.

2.how to arrange for 550 CAD draft which is payable to "Receiver General for Canada. "

and how much time does it take now ??

please guide me on above two points plz

1. I assume you cannot have two applications at the same time. The CIC website says if you want to withdraw the old application and apply again under the new rules, you may do so. It does not however, say you have to do it but I suppose they mean so.
2. Go to any bank in Pakistan which does international bank drafts and ask them to give you a check in favor of Receiver Gerneral.
3. If you mean the visa processing time, nobody knows for sure but they say between 6 months to 1 year.

You know the "list" of 38 states in 0213 Manager, not Assistant Manager
