Please assist me for few of my queries as below:

I am planning to submit my file for Quebec Immigration under skilled worker, in this regards,

1. What documents have to be accompanied and which forms have to be submitted for Quebec Selection Certificate i.e Stage one?

2. At what stage do I have to submit my French proficiency skill documents?

3. Through out my education I have studied in English medium, Do I have to appear for IELTS?

4. The first stage i.e for Quebec Selection Process, the completed file has to be submitted to which Canadian office, will it be in New Delhi or Hong Kong?

I would really be very thank full if someone can assist me...:)

Thank you.

From your profile, you are most likely eligible to apply. Did you do an initial assesment for ur profile? This is a preliminary evaluation to check eligibilty. Here is the link : http://www.form.services.micc.gouv.qc.ca/epi/index.jsp?languageCode=en

The listo f forms is available on the website. Select your country of residence and the website will list the forms/documents.

French proficiency certificates may be submitted with your initial aplication. If you do not have, then you can submit it later too by mail.

If your education transcript mentions that you have studied in English, then you may not need IELTS. another option is to ge a letter from your current/past employer saying that you work in an english-speaking environment.

I think for those living in india, the form goes to HongKong

Good Luck

Thank you very much for you response.

Yes. I did the evaluation and seems that if I do French I can qualify. Will start working towards that.

Sir, now my main concern is to prepare my file for Quebec i.e first stage and the following procedure. Can you help me which forms has to be filled (Application selection Certificate and Self Sufficiency form - A 0522 0A)? What other documents has to be enclosed?

Do i just have to post my file to Hong Kong Canadian consulate?

Secondly, I was in South Africa since last five yrs and only recently I am in India since July 2011. Will I need South African Police Clearance? And when will i have to submit?

Third, While preparing my file and if Quebec rules changes than? How often Quebec rules changes? Since to learn french till lower Intermediate stage will atleast take me arnd one and half year.

Please advise me for my query.

Thank you again.
:)

I'm not Sir LOL

Yes, you need to use application for selection certificate and financial self - sufficiency. If you are married, then include the selection certificate for spouse too and in addition also include the declaration by spouse form. Apart from these forms, you will need to send the supporting documents too. For a list of these documents, check the CIC website. For example, for my country of residence this is the link: http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/biq/new-york/dcs-workers/list-documents.html . This is NOT the list for you , since you reside in India. Look up your country of residence and select it. The website will give you the list. I think, I have already mentioned this to you. Do it ASAP. Check this link: http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/forms/search-title/dcs-workers/procedure.html

This is the link for the Hong Kong BIQ http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/biq/hong-kong/index.php . The address is also there under the tab " To reach us".

Yes, you will have to obtain police clearance from all countries that you have lived for more than 6 months. However, police clearance is in the next stage, so do not worry about that now.

Rules keep changing, I would think that 1.5 years is a long time and anything can happen. Intermediate stage is B1/B2 and that couls take you a long time to master. It is best if you try to pass DELF A1 within the next 4-5 months and send your application. you can work on DELF A2 after you send the application and then update your application by sending your result.

Hi. My application has already been submitted to the Hong Kong embassy (since im from India). I am a little worried about the french, especially when they take the interview.
I would like to know, whether everyone has to go through the interview. A
Secondly, I have submitted my A1 results with the application and I am right now learning A2. Can i submit my A2 results?
Thirdly, how long it usually takes to get the final visas. I checked it on the site, and it mentions 6 months for India. Is it 6 months in all cases?

Hope to get the reply soon. Thank you for you help, it matters a lot.

Hello Shootingstar,

Can you please help me calculate my points step wise, my information as below:

AGE: 29 yr
EDUCATION: Bcom(Accounting & Audit)
MBA(MARKETING)
UNDERSTANDING SHIPPING

WORK EXPERIENCE: 4yr in accounting
ENGLISH : EXCELLENT
FRENCH : ENROLLED ALLIANCE Francaise (at present no knowledge of french) LEVEL 3 & 4 WILL IT BE A1 & . A2?
MARITAL STATUS: SINGLE

I believe If i do French i will qualify, but my query is on Quebec immigration-Evaluation calculator it say French Beginner 3 & 4 - - - At what level would it be A1 or A2?

Will it be sufficient to give the Quebec authority that i have studied through English medium and have worked in English spking environment? On this basis can i earn FULL points? or do i hv to appear for IELTS?

I would appreciate if you can help me calculate my points of qualification step wise and advise me accordingly.

Thank you.
Roch....
