It's not mandatory the forms are not that hard, it's just if you have the $$ or not to paid for a representative.

Do you already have a job offer?

Yes you can apply by your self

I don't know whether it would be a good suggestion or not to you, but If you qualify in skilled worker apply for it or go for studies if you have money. If you study there at least a year you have more chances to get your PR. Life will be cool and peaceful. This is my personal opinion. May be look for other senior members advice here. good luck.

If you are going thru any law firm make sure you select them after some research. Depends on your situation and desperateness, they rob you completely.

It is not that hard. If you realy, I mean really, went through that webpage, you would know the answers. As you reach the end of the page you should know if you qualify or not.
What were your responses for 1 and 2?
Do you have at least 1 year experience in the 38 occupation list? If the answer is no, FSW is not for you.
Did you try the eligibility tool?
Did you try the self assessment test?

This should be piece of cake for somebody who has done their masters is the us.

Do you have family in Canada?
Did you look into different Provincial Nomination Programs? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp
Are you on H1B for at least 1 year? If yes, you may apply for AINP under the Strategic Recruitment Stream U.S. Visa Holder Category

You may want to explore the education in Canada option as chow suggested.

With all the information available so readily, do your research and you'll have an idea. THEN, if you have a specific question, I am sure, someone here would answer it.

Posting a question in the forum - "may i know how to apply for canada immigration" is probably not the way to go for something that is as big as an immigration decision.
