Hello there.

I just wanted to ask are you supposed to use passport sized photos or immigration photos for the medical appointment for PR for outbound application (USA)?

Also, I'm assuming I can break the seal on the fbi background check to see if i passed or not right?

Thanks hopefully those are my last 2 questions...thanks to everyone for everything i've learned here!

Option C of the medical forms clearly outlines the photo specifications. I would go with the immigration photos since they all end up with CIC.
Good luck

This is my logic...I just assumed that the clerk at the medical office didn't know any better so she stated passport sized photos. So I'll just bring the immigration sized ones. I'll bring 5 even though she asked for 4.

The space for the pictures on the forms that the DMP fills out is Canadian passport size. If the DMP is asking for pp size you should take them - it would be horrible if they made you leave to go and take more.

Also the specs in the guide are passport size

I don't see the specs in the guide...just says 5 recent photos taken within 6 months of exam with no specifications.

Does anyone know for sure? My appointment is in a few days and I currently have the immigration sized ones however they requested 4 passport sized ones...I am doing outbound Canadian PR and being sponsored by my Canadian wife.

Ok I called the Dr's office again and she said they use passport size but I told her in appendix b it lists immigration sized photos which are a bit smaller she said if they are a bit smaller it should be ok...so I'm guessing it doesn't matter???? Or should I get new passport sized ones like she initially requested...I said the immigration ones are just a little smaller....but I'm comparing them (because I have 2 Canadian passport sized photos from before) and they are actually pretty different in size

I read that but it says there immigration photos are different than passport but the Dr requested passport sized...trying to figure out if I should go back and take passport sized Canadian photos which are bigger than the immigration sized photos before I go to my exam....

Do what the guide requires not what the doctor has requested and you'll be safe.

I called the call center about this. They said it should be Immigration size based on their specs, however, if the DMP accepts a different size photo because a client made passport size then they will most likely accept it. However again, they have the right to refuse it once it is received in your application.

I called as we made this error and my husband sent passprt size. So get it wrong, it's luck of the draw.
