This is so scary and upsetting. I really hope that things work out for you.

It also makes me hope that we provided enough info to CiC

What I can tell you is that the thought of not having your spouse with you drives you totally insane. Everything seems fine until you get a refusal letter from CIC. It feels awful! It is about the thought of not knowing when your spouse will be coming to Canada and the long drawn out appeal process.....My huaband and I are strong and we are hoping this will end, so we will be able to be together again. I will be seeing him for Valentine's. Still waiting to see if i will be getting the ADR conference....I am praying so hard and feeling very positive about it. I am just wondering how long I will have to wait to know if will be getting it?? any suggestions? I filed an appeal on Dec 24, 2012 and got a response from IAD on January 7th, 2013.

it depends where the Appeal will be heard. If its Toronto, count on 2 years unless you get an ADR

Hi Mrs. BB, you mentioned that you feel your husband was red flagged. Do you think that because he was ordered to leave Canada after 10 years and then the two of you married that the CIC may believe he married you for the sole purpose of gaining residency in Canada. Additionally, they asked him what he knew about your previous relationship and he couldn't give specifics. I believe he was definitely intimidated because they likely had an agenda before he arrived for the interview. On another note it was the first question I had for my partner when we met as he was married a few times and I was really curious to know why his marriages didn't work out. I certainly have no opinion about your situation but if this this happened to my husband, I would be trying to sort out what they are questioning about the genuineness of the relationship considering you do indeed have much evidence to support an ongoing relationship. Not only that but you could be gathering evidences to challenge the basis for their decision.
