Hello

My girlfriend and I met in Toronto, we have now been dating for 2 years and living together in Montreal for 1 year.

She has been in Canada for 4 years on working visa, and is close to getting her PR (maybe 1 year away)

We would like to get married soon and wondering what is the best way to do it and speed up her ability to get a Canadian passport, so that we can travel and work outside Canada as we both have many opportunities, but would like to easily return to live in Toronto after travelling.

How can we use our marriage to best speed up the process? How long will we wait before she gets her Canadian passport? Any loop holes so we can work abroad without giving up the chance to come back?

Thank you for any advice.

I assume that you are Canadian. There is no loopholes. She has two options:
1- apply for PR on her own (after 1 year as you said) or
2- spousal sponsorship (which can start now if you lived together for at least 1 year without breaks and you can prove it).
In both cases and if the application is approved, she will become a PR and she will have to stay in Canada for at least 3 years to become a Canadian citizen. So, don't expect her to have a Canadian passport before 4 years from now. Good Luck!

Mostly correct. Except she will have to be on PR for 2 years before she can apply for citizenship since she has been on a temporary visa for 4 years already.
