Immigration photos question

I'm a bit confused about the immigration photos to be included with a submitted application.

The main checklist does not include any checkbox or request for these photos, but the country-specific checklists for the principal applicant does.

(see number 13 of the United States immigration guide. I'd link it but the forum won't let me for some reason)

The 4 photos requested seem to be the same as those that I had to bring to my medical examination. Do I now need to get 4 MORE photos taken and... I don't know, clip them to the application?

The checklist that mentions these photos says to refer to 'Photos in section on completing Application' for more information, but I can find no reference to these mysterious photos in either of the guides on the CIC website and I really have no idea if they're required or not and if so where and how to add them to my application.

Can anyone illuminate me on this? Thank you for your time :)

Check Appendix C. Take it with you and get these photos. Yes you need 4 more to send with your application. I just put mine in a regular envelope with the application so it's not all over the place.

Hi

Look under the applying for permanent residence application and there is extra information on photos. They are quite picky from the details on the photo specs. (no shadows, no glare and correct sizing). I just spent an hour with the photo place because they had sizing of crown (top of hair) to chin wrong. I would suggest you measure the crown to chin (25-30mm) and actual photo size (35x45mm) yourself with a ruler. I know of someone that had there photo's sent back.

Hope this helps
Cheers

Can I wear my glasses in the photos? None of the information I've found tells me to take them off, but the lady taking my picture seemed pretty sure I needed to take them off...

Yeah take them off. They usually end up with glare and can't see the colour of your eyes.

Well, I had them with glasses since I wanted it to be accurate since I wear glasses all the time, there is a little glare but it's towards the center and you can clearly see my eye color. Do I need to get them re-done?

All the papers never said anything about taking them off, I wish I had listened to the counter lady (but she said she only knows passports and the Appendix B Photo Specifications are quite clear that these photos are not the same as passport photos), but I looked up the requirements and while you have to have them off for passport photos, it doesnt tell you to take them off for these. But if you think theres a good chance these won't be accepted... I guess I have to do them again.

I can't be 100% sure. I'm the Canadian and I have been told for EVERY ID I've had here, my glasses have to be off, I cannot smile etc etc. I know there's a difference but better safe than sorry right? Plus, if you are injured and unconscious somehow(God forbid), they can easily take the glasses off to compare to the photo, but if your glasses aren't around/broken, then they can't really tell. That's what Service Ontario tells me anyway LOL
