I really need your help!

The immigration lawyer that I was working with made a mistake in my application. IRCC canceled my application because my PCC from my foreign country was not uploaded, and it had been uploaded, but it was not complete. Some PCC documents were missing, and the lawyer forgot to mention to me that I needed those documents.

I feel angry and frustrated. My PGWP extension is expiring in 6 months, and because of their mistake, I'm losing time and points (I'm turning 36 years old in a few days).

They offered a refund, but I think it's really unfair. They are leaving me in a worse position just because of their mistake.

What should I do?

I'm not sure there is any recourse. Unfortunately this is why I always recommend DIYing instead of paying lots of money to "professionals" who can still mess up your application.

You can try sending a webform to IRCC to request reconsideration. Normally IRCC won't reconsider if the application is incomplete and something basic is missing like a PCC, but you can try.

Most likely you will need to re-enter the pool, wait for ITA again, and then reapply.
