IMMIGRATION INTERVIEW

I will like to know from both existing and completed applicants that is interview compulsory and must everybody pass through it. What is the basis for interview as i have seen people that got their visa without interview.

I'm leaving in Germany, as asylum seeker, but still my nationality is Ethiopian. I am going to apply under Skilled Worker category to immigrate to Canada. So, to where shall I send my application form, to Berlin or Kenya? My adviser here in Germany told me that to send it to Kenya, not to Germany. But I'm not sure about his advice. If so, how about the interview process? have I to go to Kenya or can I take it here in Berlin?

Everything depends on the officer that assesses a particular application,an application maybe clear enough without any grey area.the embassy in this particular case waives the interview but when there is grey area,the applicant gets an interview date.i think that explain it a little.soj

i think you going through interview is dependent on your case.
as soj says, this may be a decision of officer handling your case.

I would advice applying in Germany, the reason is thats where you live. I am a Nigerian based in the US , i applied in NY and did my interview there. The interview is not compulsory only case by case but entry to the interviews location will be your responsibility

I applied for mine from africa though i do not live there. according to the processing time and communications between me and cic in africa if they needed me to go for interview it would definately be in kenya as my documents are in africa.

Either ways the process is the same and dependent on processing time so i would chose the country that takes a shorter time though the berlin office would still contact your country for your information during their asssessment.

Interview are not a must unless your case is not straight forward for them and brings some questions to them.
