Hello!

I am looking to Immigrate to Canada but I don't know which way to do it.

Me and my Fiance have been dating for a while going back and forth from the states to here. She is pregnant and our Daughter will be born in October. So its time for us to settle down and stay together. We are planning on getting married but I do not have the slightest clue on how to immigrate here and everywhere I call doesnt seem to get me anywhere. This whole process is very new to me and a lot of it just looks like jibberish haha. I don't understand how to submit the Application when its time, is there anywhere I can look for step by step guides?

My main concern is working, I need a job bad.

Start by reading the first post in the following thread. Note that in order to sponsor you, you must either be married or common law (have lived together for a minimum of one full year):

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/spousal-sponsorship-t46995.0.html

Assuming you are American, you should apply outland (rather than inland). Outland is faster for Americans. You won't be allowed to work until this process has been 100% complete and you have become a PR. If you want to work earlier, then you'll have to first find an employer in Canada who is willing to give you a job offer, that employer will likely need to apply for a labour market opinion (to get approval from the government to hire you) and then you'll have to apply for a work permit.

Once you have read the link I provided above - if you have any further questions, post them to the Family Sponsorship section of this forum:

If he wants to convert to a work permit, he will first need to find an employer who is willing to give him a job offer. That employer will then have to obtain an approved labour market opinion. Once all of this is done, your friend can apply for the work permit. Expect this process to take a few months at a minimum.
