Hi

I have recently graduated from Immigration Consultant program from a Canadian College but I think I still do not know as much. It is worrisome to have such a feeling. I worked really hard to get those grades and my marks were always above 80%. I still think that the knowledge I have gathered is not as much and I do not have confidence in my education to be able to get a job somewhere.

What can I do to become a good immigration consultant? How do I get more knowledge of the subject? I have not done the license yet ... can a consultant on this forum help me and advice me how I can be a good immigration consultant? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't believe there are any consultants on this forum. We are all just regular people who are going through the immigration process or have gone through the immigration process in the past.

I know there are a number of different schools offering immigration consultant programs. They aren't all equal and perhaps you didn't chose the best one?

My only recommendation is to see if you can find a job working as an assistant to an immigration consultant or working in the office of an immigration consultant. This would be one way to increase your knowledge and gain experience in the industry.

Good luck.

I chose the best college in the province. Graduated from Humber College.

And what you suggested is bang on and that's what I am doing right now, I have found a job already at an immigration law firm and working as an assistant. Hopefully after spending a year or so I might be able to work efficiently.

(most of the newly graduates do not know what they have learned precisely as per my research)

But thanks for the reply though!
