Is anyone of you experience to hire a immigration consultant under the family class sponsorship? Is it better and faster? Please share! Thank you

Better?
That depends on how well you understand the process (including correct forms, supporting evidence/documents needed, etc.)

Faster?
Only in the application preparation process (maybe), but once it's been mailed...I don't believe it makes a bit of difference `who' mailed it.

I had a lawyer who helped with our application. It was part of a wedding present. Immigration says that a lawyer/consultant doesn't speed up the process, I disagree only in that they can find things that you have missed or can help you to put things in a different way that may be less ambiguous to the people reading your application. If I had to do it again I would do it on my own.

My wife is pregnant now and she can't have her upfront medical, is possible to send the medical after she give birth next year or do we need to wait for the medical request from the embassy?

Thank you for your reply guys!

In my experience it is helpful. When I was doing my wifes sponsorship, i got her GCMS notes after she got PR. In it, I clearly saw a note that said the letter from the lawyer had made a difference and bumped up her processing to urgent. He had writted a letter with reasons as to why the delay was impacting us. Not sure if I had written the same, it would have had the same effect, especially because they know the language to use.

Did you retain the lawyer to prepare the application, or did you pay him/her to write the letter after you had done `all the work'? ;)

Glad to know that the letter helped to expedite your processing time. It sounds like your urgency was justified and the exception to the rule, for those of us that are simply...impatient.

Do not be deceived by anyone.
An immigration consultant can help you file a good application, but CANNOT speed up anything. If a good a complete application helps you through the process faster, then try them. Otherwise they are not able to do anymore.
