Dear Seniors and Experts,

I have applied for Canadian immigration in previous NOC. Is it possible I can also apply for student Visa. Does it makes a good impact on my case or bad ?

While my immigration is in process, will they give me student VISA if i will give them a reason that my intention is to more qualified immigrant with Canadian studies.

Please share your knowledge & experience and cases.

Regards.

bro,
I'd plan to do this but one of very experienced oilfield professional wh0 settled in there long back tld me not to practis this. visit visa is for short time while student visa is a different case. when u apply for student visa they assume your intentions are to settle in canada in future which is usual in most of the cases. They may take it negative and i've heared that your record is already with them for immigration purpose so they wont grant you student visa.... i would advice you to use single flite. let me know if i can be of any help.

Dear ....
i donot think so it is mentioned any where that u could not apply for student visa if u r in process for immigration....
immigration is differnet story which is for long term basis plan
study is different story which is short term basis plan!!1
please read care fully application form of student visa , there is clearly mentioned , did u applied for immigration/visit/study visa etc in past....yes or no .....u should say yes there.....
even u have to mention them clearly in study plan and after study , what will u do??? u write clearly that life is short , many things is to complete for succession so my study plan is for two reasons,
one for getting canadian qualification which support me if i ll be immigrated successfully so that i could be assest of canada n can contriute the economy of canada even can serve the canadian nation on right path!!!
2nd thing is to get canadain degree after completion my course , and return back to home land to wait for immigration of canada (if long time to be wait) , in the same time i will be more successful in my home country ( dash dash dash.....) ... so process for immigration is not hundred percent gauranty to get permannent residence for canada.....may be i ll be failed in any reason then what ll i do ? in that case atleast canadain qualification and experince ll help to success in my home country....!!! u should mention like that..plz tell them true , hopefully u ll get student visa !!! i know some example ....so i m advising u .......hope this ll help u more

regards

Gulshan

Well, I think Gulshan is right. Canadian study could help in both scenarios, if some successful to get Canadian immigration. Canadian study give him an advantage to find job easily and employers recognizes his studies in addition with his local country degree and work experience. On the other hand if he is not successful to get immigration and return back to home country but Canadian degree holder will be given preference among other who have local degrees.

Does some one heard any case that one who applied for immigration also got student visa for Canada.

Dual Intent

Dual Intent refers to the concurrent processing of an application for Permanent Residence and an application for Temporary Status, therefore demonstrating the intention to both reside in Canada permanently and only temporarily, at the same time.
Although this may appear contradictory at first glance, in fact it is possible. Imagine, for example, the following scenario:

An individual submits an application for a Canada Immigration Visa. Before receiving the Canada Immigration Visa, the individual wishes to visit Canada for a short time and applies for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), or appears at the Port of Entry, if a national of a TRV exempt country. This is perfectly acceptable as long as the individual intends to leave Canada at the end of the visit.

The same principle applies to individuals who are in the process of applying for a Canada Immigration Visa and wish to obtain a temporary Work Permit or Study Permit.

An individual whose application for Permanent Residence in Canada is pending is subject to the same requirements as others when seeking entry into Canada temporarily. The individual should therefore have a reasonable purpose for entry, be prepared to leave Canada at the end of the temporary stay and understand that if a Canada Immigration Visa is issued, he or she must leave and re-enter Canada in order to officially land as a Permanent Resident.

An application for Temporary Status may be scrutinized more closely when a Permanent Resident application is under review, as there is an obvious intention to settle in Canada permanently. If the individual's ties elsewhere can be demonstrated, however, an application for Temporary Status should succeed.

4. Can I apply for a Temporary Work Permit and a Canada Immigration Visa?

Yes, you can. You may apply for a Temporary Work Permit on its own or in combination with an application for a Canada Immigration Visa. Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) recognizes the concept of "dual intent" whereby, you desire to work in Canada temporarily and thereafter reside and work in Canada permanently.

3. Can I apply for Permanent Resident status and Temporary status at the same time?

You can apply for Permanent Resident status and Temporary status at the same time. Canadian Immigration policy recognizes the concept of dual intent.

Hi to everyone,
It all depends on your supporting documents and the financial part of it is very important. It also depends on the country of residence and also if you could convince the visa officer that you will leave Canada after your studies.

a friend of mine did it and was successful. At the time of application for the student visa she was living in Europe.

Hope t he information helps.
