Confusednscared: This is far too long to have to wait after the interview. Have you contacted the visa office asking about your file? What does your status say on ecas? If they mailed you a request for more information, and you never got it, ...
Hey Cdnwoman,
My case is an ARC case because I was deported from Canada -- failed refugee and PRRA --
My status on e-CAS still says "IN PROCESS"
Last I ordered CAIPS, it shows that they were still trying to figure whether or not I needed to payback deportation expenses ($1500) to the Government, which, I don't have to. Plus, they never sent in for my Background Check in Canada.
I have tried contacting them over and over -- December, January, February ----- and no response.
MP = somewhat U S E L E S S
I believe the hold up is merely due to the following:
- it took them 3 months (Sep - Dec) to review my FOSS notes from Canada and determine that I was indeed deported and don't have to pay back the Government of Canada anything. I don't think my IO even knows what he is doing because on CAIPS the notes were typed and initialed by two people as if you and I are emailing each other at work about a work related issue
- they have solved one problem and sent for my background in either December or January (my bet is Jan) and it's probably lost of CSIS really hates me. I used to work for the Provincials in Ontario, not sure if that has anything to do with CSIS.
My last BFD was Feb 28 and I just saw on my online banking that CAIPS office has cashed my cheque for a new order of CAIPS notes. I am hoping that by next week CAIPS is delivered and I see what the heck is happening and if my background checks are cleared.
BTW, my application has been approved.
Thanks.
