I hear a lot of people talking about AIP - Approval in Principle. I am not sure what it means. Can someone explain it to me a bit better and also when do you get this in the immigration process?

Thank you.

For an inland application, you get AIP or first stage approval after about 9-10 months. At that point, you can get an open work permit and you can get health care in most provinces.

Thanks Leon. That helps.
