Dear Members,

I and my spouse have been living separately for more than 2 years and are not in talking terms. She is neither willing to go for separation nor is she willing to comeback. Therefore, I have only 2 options. Please suggest the most suitable:

1. What if I declare my status as "Single", would it get cross checked and there would be an issue with PR now or in future

2. Declare that I am married by my spouse is not accompanying. But in this case, I have heard that still documents of spouse are required or even her check up

Please suggest the options I have, thanks in advance

Option 1 is outright illegal, dangerous and you could be barred from coming to Canada.
Option 2 is more suitable. If your spouse is not cooperating, you could explain the same to the visa officer.
