Hello !

I'm a newly registred member on this website because I could not find any answer to my question anywhere

My situation

- Moroccan dude
- 23 year old
- Master's degree in Marketing
- 7 months internship that leads to degree
- Aced the french & english tests
- Overall of 65 points

My question is since Quebec changed the law to handle immigration with Loi 77, it's not a First come First Serve basis anymore so I'm wondering if 65 is competitive enough to be selected by Quebec ?

Also, Quebec was promising not to take up to 5 to 6 years to deliver the CSQ and that they would speed up their process to less than 2 years. I can't find any information on this particular subject since even on their website they only say "Après la vérification des documents (étape 1), le délai moyen pour compléter le traitement d’un dossier est de : 12 mois." which basically mean "It will take up to 12 months to complete the treatment of your application after the first step"... But I'm wondering how much time does this "first step" take ?

Thanks

hi mate

whait is your bachelor?, how many years proffesional experience do you have? wich test languages do you have?

maybe you could get a chance, nobody knows what will be requeriments with loi 77. MIDI have said in interviews b2 french will be mandatory but nothing offitial yet

les delais are relatives i am june candidate i am from Colombia (6 months pour traitement) and nobody have received checklist

I have a master's degree in Marketing which I believe is a priority degree (so total of 24 points)
I have a 7 month internship experience which is eligible to count as professional experience because it leads to degree
I passed the IELTS & TEF & got very good grades (CLB 7 for IELTS & C2 for TEF)

I just don't want it to take 5 years for a CSQ

hi mate

-Midi only gives your points with one diploma so max is 16 by other hand midi gives your point to academic level both are different things
-internship workexperience is valid only if it is mandatory to get degree in your university
-you should create a profile with your high scores in English and french anyway delays depends on country you reside between another topics

these are the current points

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/fr/divers/Grille-synthese.pdf

also you should take preliminary evaluation

I know
I said total of 24 because of my master's degree which gives me 12 points then another 12 because it's marketing
see here www . immigration-quebec.gouv . qc . ca/publications/fr/divers/liste-formation.pdf

Yup, my internships count

So do you have any idea how much it would take for the first step "vérificationd des documents" for Moroccans ?
Before Loi 77, it took 36 months. But one of the advantages of this new law was that it would take much less than that.
I'm sure you're aware that waiting 36 months just to get "documents verified", then another 12 months to process the application just for a CSQ is pretty frustrating.

It's 4 years of wait !
