Hi, maybe some of you guys might be able to help me.

I am looking for a way to gain permanent residency whilst keeping my job in the UK. I am currently living in Canada on a visitors permit and working for a UK company remotely. I would like to keep working for the company in the UK and find a way to gain permanent residency. Any ideas?

I have no Canadian relatives and my employer does not want to setup a presence in Canada.

Have you looked into any of Canada's immigration programs - like Express Entry / Federal Skilled Worker?

It's impossible for any of us to say if you will qualify - this is research you'll have to do on your own (or hire a consultant to do it for you).

Those programs require at least one year of working experience in Canada in certain job roles. I don't have that so will not qualify.

So have you actually added your points up at all and what NOC does you job come under 0/A or B ?

Technically doing any work even for a UK company on a visitors visa could be frowned upon as a visitors visa is really for visitor/touristy things or attending business meetings not that a lot of people don't do home country work checking emails etc whilst on vacation. Also would not bank on getting a visitor visa extension or renewal assuming you are on a 6 month stay without having some major questions asked by CBSA.

Most programs don't require a year of work experience in Canada. Only Canadian Express Class does. I'd suggest you do more research and reading focusing on programs like Express Entry / Federal Skilled Worker.
