Hi,
I am applying for immigration from lebanon to Canada. As you know lebamese banks are not accepting to give us cash money. As an option, my sister in Canada prepared a certified cheque from her canadian bank under my name, and she wrote a notarized gift deed stating that the cheque is a gift and that she does not expect me to pay back. Did anyone tried this method of certified cheque from a canadian bank? I don't want to put the money in a lebanese bank because i am afraid that the money will be stuck. Is a certified cheque considered a valid proof of fund?? Please advise and tell me what other options do i have?
