Do I have to do the same that is go to the local issuing pleace???
I would really appreciate very much your advice

The provinces have different rules about out of country DLs.

BC for instance offers an easy way to swap DL's for certain countries only. For most countries, it is the following:

http://www.icbc.com/driver-licensing/moving-bc/moving-dl/other_most

Check the website for the province you are heading to.

HI TO ALL

HEY I AM PLANNING TO TAKE SOME COMMON MEDICINE ALONG WITH ME FOR COMMON COLD, COUGH & THROAT INFECTION.
ALSO SOME ANALGESICS.
DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION FROM A PHYSICIAN FOR ALL THESE MEDICINES.
OR I CAN TAKE THEM WITHOUT IT.
KINDLY REPLY

You can carry them unless there is any antibiotics or chronical decease treatment medicine, for those you need doctors prescription to carry 15days dose. I though traveled with antibiotics in my luggage and no body questioned. If they find it they will through it in dustbin nothing worse than that.

Hi All

Does anybody get credential of there education ?Is it require before leaving?. If yes which credential organization in Canada is a good one?

Not required for any job or education with exception to few MBA Courses which evaluate your credential by themselves for admission purposes. However for new upcoming immigration laws credential evaluation will be must to claim points.

Bro Ur in Canada so its Ok for u but if someone like me is landing to Canada can't afford this risk coz if @ landing port IO is not satisfied with POF then they can send applicant back to home country!!

what does syrust say on it??

rabb rakha
Hello Babbu you are absolutely right, this is a huge risk - the idea of POF at the time of landing is to have the money "with you" to support yourself and your family in settlement - which is a totally different situation than the POF required during the application - as at that stage what is required only is to show that you have money available - it wouldn't matter in which bank or which country at application stage.

The CIC instructions are very clear, in the official cic site they have suggested any of the below as an acceptable POF to be shown at the canadian port of entry:

- cash
- securities in bearer form (for example, stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills) or
- negotiable instruments in bearer form (for example, bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders).

Ofcourse the required amount should be as below (depending on the number of family members)

Number of
Family Members Funds Required
(in Canadian dollars)
1 $11,115
2 $13,837
3 $17,011
4 $20,654
5 $23,425
6 $26,419
7 or more $29,414

I meant do not extradite funds more than your requirement to provide POF, excess money should be left back home with declaration in B4 that it will follow at later date so as to avoid tax in future.

we need ans of this on serious note :o

I landed in Toronto 4 months ago. I had photos of all the jewelery. Nobody at the port of entry didn't even asked for it. I also didn't have a proffesional evaluation of jewelery. Before i landed, i had filled forms for goods accompaning and goods to follow and gave them to the officer at the port of entry. Filling these forms before landing saved me a lot of time at the airport.

its been 45 day today that my status showing medical recieved ....when will i get stamped passport back...plz god bring sum gud news..

NOC 7242 belong to electrician for industrial jobs, the job and skills are totally different from Asian countries and either you need to start training and certification here from scratch or if you are from US/UK then you can evaluate credential to claim few credits to get exemption in training or exams.

For you I will suggest when you land here you can assist someone, learn in on job training and then apply for license.
