AOR Received.: June 2015
Med's Request: August 2015
Med's Done....: September 2015

Hello all!

My timeline starts today... Feb 1, 2016

I sent my application for permanent residence to CIC last night via DHL.

I wish all applicants this year to have speedy processing of our visa applications at ADVO!

Just want to share this info/advise from an applicant as a reminder to all:


"You can log on and use the UCI to check your status, no need to wait for the file to be transferred to local VO.

After receiving my UCI it tokk about 2 weeks before I could log on to ECAS, seems like it take a while for them to activate it in some cases.

Well, I did a case specific equerry "Has my file been transferred to my local VO yet?".

Yesterday I received a e-mail from my local VO stating:

Good day,

We wish to confirm receipt of your application. Your file number at our office is EP............... Your file is currently awaiting review by an officer. You will be contacted as soon as a review has taken place.

Canadian High Commission, VO



I also did a GCMS Notes request last week"

Case: CIO returned the application + documents to the applicant

Solution based on actual experience of an applicant:

"Mine also has expired, but I managed to get extension from Manitoba again.,,extended for another 3-months.
When I got the letter from CIO that it has been returned, I sent the same scanned copy to manitoba and ask for extension. they replied after a month."

Hello batchmates! I would like to share this info from brother Druce as our guide for now:

"This is sequence of events from what I understand"

1) AOR (they do file number and "in process" in the same e-mail now)
2) File gets transferred to local VO (this does not change the ecas status, it stays in process)
3) Medical Request (by e-mail)
4) Medical Received (updated on ecas)
5) RPRF Request with updated schedule A request (by e-mail)
6) Back ground checks starts (no notification of this)
7) Possible Interview (e-mail)
Status change to Decision Made (ecas)
9) PPR (e-mail)
10) Status change to Complete (ecas)
11) Passport received back with PR Visa.


"Like I said, this is what I understand from what I have read before. I will be receiving my first GCMS Notes end of February (at latest) and will then be able to tell you exactly what has been done on my file. I am requesting my notes every 30 days to keep up to date." -- from Mr. Druce

Did you ask ADVO already cia email via case specific inquiry or something?

no I haven't as I have seen that none of the ADVO applicants received the file transfer mail so was assuming that they don't send at all and will be sending the other correspondences only.
