Immi. Application Status and some doubts??

Hello everyone,

I applied for the federal application under provincial nominee in November beginning, got married in December end.
Got the medicals for only myself in January, after coming back to canada in January, I included my wife with my application in February end, submitted all the documents for her as well, such as gave her police cert. and upfront medicals.
My medicals results reach the embassy in February end aswell.
Waited for 3.5 months, got request for additional documents for spouse on June 13th, additional documents (lots of photos and other proofs) reach Ottawa by by 24th June.
Got the RRPF request to submit the money online on 10th July for both me and my wife. Submitted it online on the same day. They assigned the Client ID number as well for my wife. I am planing to go back to India in October to bring my wife here to Canada.


Questions:

• I am still waiting for the PPR request now. How much time will it take now after the RRPF rerquest.?
• Since I am planning to go back to India in October, should I go ahead and apply for my wife Open work permit as well, just to be on the safer side.? I am working on PGWP here in Canada. Will this be a safe bet to pursue when the PR application is already in the last stages now.?
  

Pls help in clearing these doubts.

What does your ECAS status say online?

If it is IP or DM , then you are almost there. You might get your PPR soon.

If you really want to bring your wife in October, I guess you can go and comeback as long as you have a TRV and you have time left to submit your Passports after getting your PPR.

Its say Application recieved on ECAS and when I click that it says:

We received your application for permanent residence on November 18, 2013.
Medical results have been received.

I think when the medicals have been received the status is In Process.? This status has not been changed from March first week.

Will it be safe to apply for work permit for my wife at this stage?

Hi wreckitralph,

My suggestion is not to apply for any visa for your wife at this point of time. Even I don't think she will get a visa to come to Canada.

Since you were already asked for the RPRF, hope it won't take long time for you to get PPR. In fact, nobody can tell you the time frame how long it takes after RPRF. So, best way is to wait for some time.

I'm in the same boat as yours and i will suggest u that get the notes because i also did the upfront medical and it took them four months to figure out medical for my spouse.... so be on safe side n order notes...

How much time it took you to get you the notes after you applied for them. I am thinking of applying them.
Also is your and your wife PR application in progress, What stage is it now. It will be great if you can tell me your timeline.

yes i added my wife in pr process in january end... in my last notes which i got in the end of june last pretty much everything is left but u never know how they process n each case is different.. criminality n security was left so was eligibility n now i stopped thinking about it ...

last time it took me around 35 days to get notes usually it take 30-32 days ..

I always did with 5$ one n do attach the consent form signed by ur spouse .... n order electronic files ....

I paid my n spouse fees upfront without any email from cic...

Since I am the principal applicant, do I need to submit the application for GCMS notes for my wife separately and sparate fees or will they tell her status as well in a single ATIP request?
