IMM5710E form- Q3 for a full time worker (spouse of a grad student)

Hello,

I am applying to extend my study permit and my spouse's open work permit. My spouse is currently working full time for a Canadian employer. I have got a question about IMM5710E form. There are four options in question 3 (I am applying for one or more of the following). Options are listed below

1. A work permit with the same employer
2. An initial work permit or a work permit with a new employer
3. Restoration of your status as a worker
4. Temporary resident permit

I am not sure option 1 or 2 is applicable for my spouse because his current status is open work permit. Can someone please explain which option is applicable?
