I'm trying to fill out the IMM5709 form and I'm unsure about what to fill for "Duration of Expected Study".
My situation:

- My visa and Study Permit expire on 02/23/19
- My school will finish on 03/24/19 and graduation day is 04/24/19

What should "From" and "To" be filled with? Would "From" be 02/23/19 (the end of my current study permit) and end be the final graduation day? 04/24/19?

Looking online I saw a couple of places where they're saying to put "From" as today's date and "To" the final date of studies + 3 months.

So in this case would be: "From" today "To" 06/24/19 (starting from end of study) or 07/24/19 (starting from graduation day)?

From is the day you are applying, To should be day you finish studies + 90 days, which should be enough time to apply for any further permits after receiving graduation notice.

Thanks for confirming, so do you think in this case "To" should be 06/24/19 (3 months after end of study) or 07/24/19 (3 months after graduation day)?

Hey guys, I am having similar trouble filling in the date of duration of expected study. I have completed 2 years in my current university and I am transferring to Canada for my half of year 3 and full 4th year, so I will be technically done with my studies by April 2021, but my acceptance letter says Winter 2020-2024. What year do I put? The one on the document, 2024 or my actual graduation date + 90 days which will be July 2021?

Duration of expected study is just simply when studies are expected to end according to the program you are attending, its normal to add 90 days or IRCC even adds 90 days sometimes but this 90 days thing is not always a given, nothing to do with your passport.

Any permit you get from Canada will not be valid longer than your passport validity and if so you will have to extend it later before it expires to continue studying.

My program is going to end in September 2024. I dont have a month.
What should i select as the end date of my 'Duration of expected Study'

Can I write it as 30th September 2024?Or should i write it as December 2024.
