Hi,
I am at the moment filling in my application for the prorogation of my student permit.
I have to fill in the IMM5709 document. There are some questions that I don't know how to deal with.
- They ask for the date of my first entrance in Canada. On the passport I possess right now, it is in october 2009 but it was for tourism, not studying. Do I have to put that date? I've been to Canada before, when I was really young, around 10. It's not on that passport. Do I have to find that precise date? Or are they asking for the date when I entered Canada and when my student permit was actually delivered and stapled in my passport?
- They ask for the date of my last entrance in Canada. In my passport, the last stamp I have from the canadian immigration is in march 2013. I went to New York City for a week. Since march, I've been away from Canada for 2 months in Australia, but I wasn't given a stamp when I returned. Also, 2 weeks ago, I went to the USA for a weekend, but when I came back to Canada my passport wasn't stamped. Do I have to put the last date (so, from my weekend 2 weeks ago), or the last date for which I have a stamp that accounts for it?
- When I want to validate the form, I have an error message saying that I need to fill in the "Employment" section. But I've never been employed. All I did was an intern, but that is not a true employ. Was should I fill in?
- Eventually, as for the signature, do I have to print the form, sign, scan it and then send that, or can I just sign by writing my name as I complete the form and before clicking "Validate"? Is it enough?
Thank you in advance for the time you've spent reading my spot, and for any advice you can provide regarding my questions.
Have a nice day,
