Hi All,

I am sponsoring my spouse for the permanent residence. I just realized that I made a mistake in the Schedule A Background/Declaration. On the question 8 Personal History- I forgot to mention 6 months period during which my spouse was Unemployed after finishing up studies. What should I do to correct this? I received my sponsorship approval last week and my spouse application is now transferred to new delhi visa office. Please advise

no worries. make the correction on IMM5669E and send it to new delhi VO through case specific inquiry. make sure to include a cover letter with your UCI/file# and a brief explanation to let them know about the mistake.

If there is a gap in time you will be asked to redo the form anyways.

Hi we submitted the application in December, last week I got an e-mail from the Colombo VO asking for newly updated schedule A form. Does that mean the form we submitted previously has some mistakes? Because, even if I have to fill up newly it's gonna be the same.. I have not left any gaps between the time periods.. And the next question, along with a newly updated schedule A form, I was also told to submit 4 passport size photo, copy of my national ID and some documents (which we already submitted with the application, they're asking for them 2nd time). Why is this? And how much more time will it take from this to get my visa? Any idea?

Sometimes they will want an updated form. This one you send will also include the time from December to now.

If you have already submitted what they are asking for, send a copy anyways and an explanation that it was sent with your application.

I am not sure how long you can expect as each case is different. You could go to the Colombo thread and view current timelines to get a rough idea.

Yes, included the time gap from December till now.. that's the only change that I have to do from the previously filled from.. Thank you very much for your reply! God bless

I am going to submit the updated form through case specific enquiry. Feeling relieved now
