I am 31 years old - this means I have to state all residential addresses 10 years back, right?
However, police certificates I need from all countries where I lived for at least 6 months back until the age of 18, correct?

You need to state all residential addresses since the age of 18. Same applies to the police certificates.

For addresses you are supposed to provide all for the last 10 years or since the age of 18 - whichever is longer. So you have to go back to 18.

What if you traveled and stayed in a hotel for a few days. Does that consider a residential address?

the form says whichever is most recent. 18years of age or 10years... so in your case should be last 10years.

It's a post from 2013 (It caught me out too), I hope the OP got the correct information at the time.
