Hi there friends,

I have a question about doc IMM5604. My husband and I are sending out the application for my PR card and we got to the point we had to include IMM5604 if we have kids NOT in common. I have a daughter, indeed, from my previous relationship. Her biological father is Canadian and she is Canadian as well. I actually met my (now) husband while I was in Canada visiting her grandparents from her father side as I'm still in good term with that side of the family. This document seems to be only considering kids with non-Canadian parents. So now my question is: do you think I need to add this document to my application as it is about MINORS IMMIGRATING (while my daughter is Canadian)?
If yes should her biological father come to the notary public with me?
I think he's still resident in Canada but I know that he works abroad and travels a lot. We have a child agreement and I have sole custody. He just sees her when he comes back from his travels for a few days at times. The agreement was signed privately with a witness.

Thanks so much for your help!

Hi

Your Canadian child is not immigrating, so that form doesn't apply.
I have received a request to submit an IMM5604 declaration from the non-accompany parent, my ex-husband. It is me and my son who are applying for PR, and his father does not mind but in the section where he writes my name as the parent/guardian and my relationship to my son (mother) there is another line beneath it for a parent/guardian. Should that be left empty? Is it there in case if there is a stepfather? which is not the case. So, should this be just left empty?
