IMM5533E form.. proof we are living together

Hello,

I am applying to sponsor my husband to come to Canada


On the last page of the IMM5533E form , it states,

• Documentary evidence of financial support between your spouse and yourself
• Other proof that your relationship is recognized by friends or family

What are the documentary evidence of financial support between your spouse and yourself? what kind of documents are they asking for here?

Also, we are asked to provide converstaions between us as proof of our relationship, the converstaions are not in English.... my question is " Can I translate the converstaions myself and not notarize them?

Hi, evidence of financial support would be any of the following: a) joint bank statement, b) joint credit card, c) proof of money transfers between the two of you, d) proof of shared expenses (how you split paying the bills etc.)

You have been answering all my questios lately! Thank you.

So question to this.. We don't have shared bills as we aren't living together or own anything together. Yet..
And we are both financial independent at the moment so we have never sent each other money. We are always there of needed but just never came up.
I however did get him signed up on my visa card, just in case he needed it. And then when he visits Canada, I covered the costs and when I visit India. He covers the cost. So we were going to explain this to cic along with sending screenshots of the hotel bookings, Train tickets and of course the visa card.
Will that be enough?

I think right now we are over thinking everything and just trying to make it all perfect and minimal red flags. Which we already fear they might red flag us as he is Indian and we didn't do a BIG Indian wedding..

And actually I know you can't say of that will be enough or not.
So I guess my question is more. What do you think or any suggestions on other things we can prove? Or maybe don't eve state we are financial independent?
