IMM5406E additional family info confusion of filling applicant and spouse name

My application is complete and ready to be dispatched under FSW 0172, there is a confusion over placing my spouse name in box asking applicant name or in the box asking spouse name, as in rest if the whole application package wherever principal applicant is asked it is obvious to fill my own name and where ever it asked spouse name it's my wife's name
but here in this particular section it's confusing.....
As filling my name in applicant question and my wife's name in spouse section and then filling her rest ... Like name of her parents and brother sisters does not make sense
But at the same applicant is Always used for me

To make it more confusing they have not added any check box of principal applicant or spouse as it's present in background declaration form

Please if any of successful applicant so far tell me what they did for this section

but here in this particular section it's confusing..... Yes the first part of the form will be the same for you & your spouse but the rest will be your spouse parents and sibling info and the same goes for you.

Brother,

you need to fill two copies of the same form.

1 for yourself & 2nd filled by your spouse.

So, in 1st copy you will be main with spouse name of her.
and in 2nd copy she will be main with spouse name of you.

you see, CIC will have family information of both you and your spouse....

I think this needs more advice....

the form says, that principal applicant and spouse need to fill their own forms. separate forms.

now, in the form:-Section-A. the field is 'Applicant'
both husband and wife are Applicant. Only difference is Main & dependant.

So, 1st copy, with applicant as husband and spouse as wife.....this form carries all the information relevant with husband's family....
2nd copy, with applicant as wife and spouse as husband....this copy carries all the information of wife's family....

correct me if i am wrong...

1st thing to make sure is that we need 2 copies of the form......agreed?
2nd thing....in one of the copy, the applicant is principal applicant....agreed?

3rd thing....in 2nd copy, the applicant is wife(spouse).....what is wrong in this?.....
the form filed is not mentioning the 'Principal applicant' its asking 'Applicant'...
So, Husband-You...is 'Principal'-"Applicant"......and wife is 'Dependant'-"Applicant"....

i am big time confused....why the spouse....is not being considered as Applicant....

No, it is not needed. Nothing like their birth certificates or anything else is mentioned in the forms or in the imm7000 guide so don't bother.

Yes she definitely is. I am the principal applicant and my wife is a dependant applicant, she has to fill her own IMM 5406 form and sign it as an applicant of this form.
