Hi everyone, I entered Canada as an international student, and when I applied my student visa I didn’t list my half sister in my family information form, cuz my agent do not told me that half sister need to be listed. Actually, I do not have any contacts with my half sister. Now I am going to apply my pr, and I found that imm 5406 need to list the half sister. So I decided to put my half sister on. But that will result in the difference with my previous family information form. Does that will result in misrepresentation? Do I need to add a letter of explanation about this? Because I really do not know that I have to list my half sister when I applied my student visa. Thank you so much.

Hello, I'm not 100% sure but I believe that for temporary resident applications (e.g. study permit, work permit, visa, etc...) they use another form (imm5707e) for the family information. This other form asks only for parents and children.

If that's the case, there was nothing wrong in your old application. The difference with the resident permanent application probably shouldn't cause any issue.
