Hi all,

I paid the fee online for my family sponorship application, I received an official receipt from CIC minutes later. The official receipt is IMM5401? Are we supposed to put in the client ID, Client date of birth, name, etc? Or do we just submit as is along with the application?

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

You're suppose to fill in the information..if you have a client ID you enter it as well. print a copy for your records as well

Thanks bajeinwaiting. Do I put in mine or my spouse's info? I assume my spouse but just want to double check.

On the other hand, the second page of the receipt indicated that I DON'T need to send in the receipt if I paid online. Can anyone verify this? I am thinking about submiiting the receipt in anyway so that it is covered.

Thanks everyone.

The checklist specifically says to submit the receipt!

Don't hesitate...better to include more than not enough ( in general) but for the receipt, yes include it!

You have to include the receipt with your application. The information you fill in is the sponsor's information. So if your spouse is sponsoring you then use her information on the receipt

And what about the Client ID? I have applied for extension for her before (she is currently staying in Canada with me as a visitor) and an Client ID was assigned back then. Should I use the same Client ID for her PR application as well?

Thanks.

I would also like to know this question. we didnt fill in our client id because I thought we didnt have one yet, but I never thought of visitor visa client id, are they the same id?

I have the same question too! :)

I found out it's the same so we'd need to put it on our application :)
