IMM5257 problem

Hello, My friend is having a hard time opening this Form.
She has opened other forms no problem but this one just won't open for her.
I even tried the same and I'm having no luck downloading this form.

Could someone please help.

You need to have latest version of adobe reader ie 11

Hi...I just tried using IE It opened using that but not on Firefox or Chrome. How do I get it to open using Firefox or Chrome?

- Right-click on the link to the form (IMM5257) and then select to download the form.
- Look for the location of the file/form downloaded. Double-click on it to open it in Adobe Acrobat or any PDF viewer.

What you are doing by clicking on the link is opening the form within the browser. Firefox and Chrome needs to have updated extensions (adobe) in the browser to have the PDF document opened inside the web browser. The easiest workaround is to download the form, and open the file outside of the web browser.

You are correct, forms are supposed to be downloaded and then opened, then filled, saved, validated if required.

Hey guys, I have a bit of issue with IMM5257E, that is supposed to be provided in the link below
cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5257e.pdf

The link is dead, and I cant download anything from here. I thought this might be the browser issue, and tried bunch of different ones but no luck!

I used another IMM5257e from dated 2013, but when tried to upload to the website it gave me an error, that this is an old version and not accepted. Any chance any of you guys have a more recent form that can email to me and help me get over with this madness!

The website now only accepts the forms updated on March 2014 and later.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I am currently a student in Canada. My study permit and visa expires in 2 months. I did renew my study permit already, but am stocked in the process of renewing my visa. A student visa and not a visitor one. I got all the documents together except for the IMM5257. And the rest of story about downloading it and so on...
Any idea how I can get it fixed?
