I am about to apply for CEC class,I have a querry regarding education section in IMM0008,which says, How many years of formal education do you have? I have a lot of confusion about that, I completed my 3 yrs General in 4.5 yrs,since I changed my program of study, actually I came for honours but unfortunately I only did 3 yrs General,it is after GCE A levels,Do I have to write the number of yrs I studied or according to degree.I appreciate a prmpt reply

You need to write the number of year of study for each degree/certificate from elementry to university.Good Luck

I was a little unsure on that question as well since I did most of my post secondary part time, but only have just over 60 credits completed, which would equal 2 years full time. So I put down 14 years total. If I put how many years I've been in school it would be closer to 20.
They just want to know how many year of formal education ie from elemantary, 6 yrs i guess.shaheen said:

Put done how long it was supposed to take you. 12 years ordinarily for elementary and high school; 3 or 4 years for university undergrad; 3 years for law school; etc. For Master's and PhD's, you can put how long it actually took.
If you failed grade 10, for example, but eventually graduated from high school, you would still only put 12 years. If it took you 10 years to get a 4-year B.A., put 16 (12 elementary and high school + 4 university), not 22.

Hi, im just looking for the same problem that i have then i saw this forum. Hope you can help me. I have 14years of education,elementary to collage. How about my caregiver 6months schooling? how can i include that? since its just only 6months? Thanks in advance.
