I got married in September 2017 in my home country but am residence of Canada. On applying to Canada for express entry I filled single bcos I wasn’t in good terms with my spouse.
Later I made up with my spouse and tried inviting him to canada. When I Now they are asking me to fill the IMM5406. What should I do? Continue to say am single or say am married?

You cannot provide false information to CIC only because you had a fallout with your partner. This was misrepresentation and you could get into trouble because of that. Of course you have to say you're married and you have to provide a convincing explanation as to why you had said you were single. There's also a likelihood that you won't be able to sponsor him.

Ma’am u just got yourself into trouble. I too had issues with my spouse and I had limited time to apply becuz of my ielts expiry and I didn’t know would we end up staying in marriage. I could have stated single and apply, but I opted to wait and when all of my efforts failed for reconciliation and she ended up giving me a divorce I applied after obtaining divorce certificate which was issued just a week before my ielts expiry.

Now u have two options whether to end your marriage or withdraw on your dreams to Canada. If I were u I would have preferred staying married and give up on Canada.

Unfortunately there is no other way, u have already misrepresented

We ain't wedded yet. we only had a local court certificate that i fear might not be recognized. it seemed as if the wedding wouldn't work after all. So it wasnt a misrep.
