Hi,

I hope someone can help!!

In the checklist (IMM 5533) which pertains to ACCOMPANYING CHILDREN'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.

It says :

I have Included children in the application who will receive an immigrant visa at the same time as me (YES or NO). If you answered NO, continue to next. If you Answer YES, provide the following documentation, as it applies to your situation:

1. For Minor children (Under age 18) : If your sporson is not the other legal parent of your children
2. For Children 19 yrs old or older
3. For adopted children

....I am including a child in my application for whom I am the BIOLOGICAL father, secondly, she is infant and for sure she is not adopted.

The question is....... do I need to check YES to the part where it says: I have Included children in the application who will receive an immigrant visa at the same time as me (YES or NO)

because... YES, I am including my child to the application, but the thing is, If you Answer YES, provide the following documentation, as it applies to your situation: which are the 3 that were mentioned above which do not apply to me.

should I answer NO? or YES and not check any of the 3? or not check anything at all?

Thank you

Jeremie

is the sponsor the other biological parent of the child? if so, is the sponsor a canadian citizen or pr? what is the citizenship of the child?

if the sponsor is not the other parent, that means your child fits into the first category - minor child: if your sponsor is not the other legal parent of your child.

hi - you are misreading the checklist. you need to read that section very carefully. it does NOT say what you posted above for section 1:
"1. For Minor children (Under age 18) : If your sporson is not the other legal parent of your children" <----- this is what you wrote. you only copied a portion of this sentence.

Here's the entire sentance:
1. If your sponsor is not the other legal parent of your children, you must complete the declaration from non-accompayning parent/gardian for minors immigration to canada (IMM5604) for each child and submit a copy of an identity document for the parent who signed the declaration. <------ it is not saying to only check this box if your sponsor is not the other legal guardian of the child. it is stating IMM5604 is needed if the sponsor is not the other legal guardian of the child

you still need to check the box because you are including a minor under the age of 18. read the ENTIRE section. it is very clear that line you posted is in reference to another form that is not relavant to your application.

How are you guys,

Similar to this question, I have one daughter in the philippines minor age. it confused me a lot about this form IMM5604.
I was devorced here in canada and my ex is also in canada. I remarried a canadian and now his sponsoring me under family spousal sponsorship. In the checklist #3 question ACCOMPANYING CHILDREN ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. I checked YES because I have children included in the application who will recieve an immigration visa at the same time as me.

MY QUESTION IS, should I check THE BOX under MINOR CHILDREN (UNDER aGE 18) and fill up the form IMM5604? OR JUST CHECK THE BOX AND NO NEED TO FILL UP THE FORM IMM5604.

this is all I can say for now, hoping for someone to can give an explanation and have experience on this matter.

thank you so much
