IMM 5409E Form

I'm working my way through all of the forms, and I'm confused about whether or not I need to include the IMM 5409E in my application. I am sponsoring my common law partner (no dependents). In the the guide, it says the form "must be completed and signed by the sponsor and common-law partner, only if the latter is a co-signer on the application". Since we do not require a co-signer (as far as I understand...), does this mean we do not need to include this form? Thanks!

You are not supposed to need this form unless you and your partner together are co-sponsoring another relative.

It shouldn't be required, however some VOs have requested it. I suppose it's up to you.
