What does IRCC require of addresses outside of the Canada/USA?

We all know that IRCC are destroying lives left right and centre by being picky with Canadian and US addresses right now, but how do they treat addresses outside of those countries?

Some countries do not have provinces or states or their equivalent. Some countries do have provinces, states or their equivalent but do not include them in their addresses. Some countries also do not have postal codes. Some countries have divided themselves into complex ways that even the local population would barely understand.

What does IRCC require in these circumstances? All the form says is "present address." Their guide doesn't provide any helpful information either.

If you don't have province/state just write N/A. In my case, once I chose my country the province/state space greyed out automatically. If you don't have a postal code or anything about the address is unusual, I would advise to send an explanation letter. Remember, don't use "St." "Av." always write "Street" "Avenue" etc.
