IMM 5406 Clarification

Hi everyone, I have seen similar questions to this on the forum, but I have not found one definitive answer.
I (Sponsor) am sponsoring my American wife (Principal Applicant) and her alone, neither her nor I have any children. Both her parents and her two sisters live in the United States and have no intentions of moving to Canada. I understand that I list her in the 'Applicant' row on the form.
My questions are:
1. Am I listed under the 'Spouse or common-law partner' row? Or not, because I am the Sponsor?
2. Do we list her parents and her sisters in there designated rows? Even though they are not being sponsored or coming to Canada?

I remember reading somewhere that the application only refers to 'Family Members' as Spouses and Children. I just want to make sure I'm not excluding any necessary information and/or giving unnecessary info.

hi,
this is only specific to applicant forms, where it suggests spouses and family members fill out their own copy of the form. this does not suggest the applicant doesn't list their relatives on the additional family information form.

yes, she needs to list you, her parents and siblings on the additional family information form. this form is basically "for information purposes only" in case anyone decides to apply for immigration down the road. it has nothing to do with them applying for sponsorship in this application.

i Was so confused with this same question...my senario is same as urs.... somebod replied me saying ya you have to write is down even thou u dont want to sponsor them in future.. the reason is security background check...like if u belong too those ppl and they are not criminal and u are all clean....
