IMM 5406 "ALL NAMES"

We are filling out the IMM 5406 in the spousal sponsorship. I, the sponsor, am Canadian and only have an English name. The principle applicant's native language is Chinese.

Does she need to make up a Chinese name for me next to my English name in Section A, write N/A, or leave it blank?

I don't know the answer but now I'm curious, too. I'm sponsoring my Korean husband and never thought to have him write my name in Korean on that form but now I'm wondering if he should. The more I read this forum, the more I get confused haha.

No, that's not needed.

What we did was write my husband's name both in the English alphabet and hangul (Korean alphabet), same with all his family members. As my native language is English, my name (as sponsor/spouse) was only written in English.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I hope it works out for us too! I will find out in a year or so if they don't mind my lack of Chinese.

There are some interested assumptions baked into forms including IMM 5406.
