Imm 5406 additional family information request

Finally an update on my file after 4 months. I have been requested to submit imm 5406.
The unsettling part is that the request letter says that "we have STARTED working on your file and need this to make a decision".
Does it mean I still have a long way to go? Has anyone else got similar request?

There really arent any clear timelines of how long it takes for an individual case to clear certain milestones along the way, but I would say in general any sign that they are actively working on your case like a request is a good sign. At least you know that there is progress and there is an officer working on your file.

Since you are quickly approaching the 6 month mark, I truly hope that you dont have too much longer to go after your latest document request.
