IMM 1442 Form

As a visitor from Switzerland I don't need a visa and therefore I didn't get the IMM 1442 form while entering into Canada. I applied for an extension, since without visa I could stay only 6 months within Canada. Does anyone know how I could get this IMM 1442 form? In order to drive further I have need of a BC drivers license. But to get this license I need the IMM 1442. Has anyone experienced the same situation and can hive me help?

If you have full time student card, you may be able to drive further without IMM 1442.

I assume when you applied for the extension you included the pages of your passport with the entry stamp. Your extension will be on the IMM 1442 if it is granted. CIC wont issue one after the fact for your original entry.

I applied for my mother in law's Visitor visa at VFS. Chandigarh office received passport on 20th sept , have been waiting since then .. no response .. visa still under processing on VFS website ..
Dunno how long will it take

Hi Fredy, i have got the similar situation as yours, i got an Australian license to exchange. Just wondering what did you do in your case? Were you able to drive with your swiss license for first 6 months? Even i was not given 1442 when i entered Canada. Do you know what documents they ask for exchanging drivers license as when i went to drive test centre, they didnt give me any info. If you can advise? Please and thank you.
