Dear all,

Could anyone please tell me whether I should sign IMM0008 (Generic) and IMM 0008 (Schedule 3) because I can't find any column for signature?

you are right!!!

but also read the checklist page, where it clearly states the application form should be signed, then lists the forms (plural)

so I suggest you sign and date all forms even though there is no designated space provided for this

When you read the instructions, it only explains where to singn on Schedule 1 and Additional family information. I do not think, the application for permanent residence needs to be signed. Poeple who sent application and received reply from Sydney NS should know the answer.

why not sign and date the lot, have you anything to lose? you may if you don't do this

You just sign where the instructions state, schedule 1 and the 5406 that is it.
