Your spouse fills it out. The applicant fills out IMM 0008.

Whoops.I just noticed there are 2 0008 forms. One is 0008dep. I guess only fill that one out if there are children.

That's right 0008dep is just if you have kids

What about the section on 0008 titled "dependents"? It says to include info on your spouse on the forms but how is a spouse a dependent?

13 is where you give information about your spouse. If you weren't sponsoring your spouse and you were both coming together as applicants, then your wife would have to put you under Dependents

Just put N/A in all the fields

So I, as a sponsored spouse, don't have any dependent children. Would it be ok that I just remove the dependent section instead of putting down N/A? Because I'm having problems validating the form if I put down N/A. But no problem at all if I removed the dependent section. Thanks a lot for the help.

For validating forms, don't put anything and it will validate properly. That's fine.

With the old forms (or forms filled in by hand) you can write N/A so they know you didn't accidentally forget to write something down.
